FINAL CD POSTER

This is the final copy of our CD poster. We distorted the groups name as well as Sara as she is the character who changes from good to evil character. We also distorted Sara to emphasise that she has left the world- a memory. We added these textures to make our poster have the same 'feel' as our music video. We have added conventions of real music promotional posters such as the group name. However, our poster is very simplistic as it goes with the theme of our music video.

CD POSTER PHOTOSHOP

• This is the text that that we decided to use for our CD poster from dafont.com. 
• We thought that this font would go really well with our music genre as it is not too simple and also not really over the top. It has a party feel to it which our music genre (dance) is usually associated to.

 I copied this font onto photoshop and used the magic tool to get rid of the white background so that it would be easier to edit and add could colours without affecting the whole text. 

This is the result after using the magic tool.

After using the magic tool, I decided to use the blur tool so that the text can go with the image used in the poster.

PLAYING AROUND WITH PHOTOSHOP

We decided to make some basic poster for the Cd album on photoshop by taking inspiration from the different CD posters we liked. However, we haven't really finished making the poster but this is where we are at right now. 

We were thinking of not adding any texts because it would ruin the image but we decided to add just the group's name and filters. We went around waterloo and took a range of pictures which we didn't plan out. We wanted the shoot to be spontaneous, just to see if we would be inspired by anything we saw outside. We thought that taking pictures of the 2 protagonists in the middle of the road is quite symbolic of them being isolated. 

In this clip you can see how we have played around with photoshop. We used the layer of the bus and copied it onto the opposite side to show parallelity between the characters however, as you can see, it is not exactly identical. We did this to show that their lives are not perfect.

CD COVER PHOTOSHOOT

Here are the photos we have taken during our photo shoot for our CD cover: We were confused on which image we would be using for CD cover as they all look very similar however, we came to the conclusion that we will be using one of  the image. as a group we have decided to use the first image as its much more clearer and has a good lighting.

PLANS FOR THE WEEK

• On Wednesday, tomorrow morning, we will  be shooting the library scene. This will be done in school during our free period. 
• During the weekend, we will be shooting the fun scene( the memories) of the two friends. This will be taking place in Waterloo.

PLAN FOR THE NEXT 5 WEEKS

1. Film the beginging scene 
2.  Edit the beginning part - shot of one of the character over dosing we will be using 360 shot and bring intense lights to emphasise the hallucination. we will use different angle shots to make the scene more intense. 
3. We will also shoot the ending scene. 
4. Redo some of the shots again as the camera was not held steadily so therefore we need to go Waterloo and film the same shot however, this time we will be using a tripod.
5. If possible we will try to shoot the party scene by this week.

FILMING UPDATE

Today day we went to waterloo station to shoot some of the footage. As we are coming to the end of completing our music video , we released that we still had gaps in our timeline final cut pro.as a result we decide to top top waterloo station and shot some footages to fill up the final cut pro timeline. we needed more shots of the two friend doing different things in different outfit so that we can use it as a flashback. we decided to use mainly pov shots.

we decided to use pop shot through out this scene. we achieved the pot shot  through the use of canon digital  camera. The use of hand-held camera the movement of an observer. A shot of the observer may appear subsequently to confirm whose POV it is. POV shot shows a view from the subject's perspective. we edited it in such a way that it is obvious whose POV it is.we used pop shot to emphasise their good time.

 straight after filming we added the footage final cut pro and edited it. we decided to make the clip faster to add excitement to it and we also combined to of the footage to make it look more creative.here is what we did....
